Looney Custom Lowering Kits

Looney Custom Seats Lowering Kits are designed to provide safe and effective lowering for your Road Star. Effectively lowering motorcycle’s center of gravity and therefor providing greater performance, comfort and stability.

They are available for both the front and rear.


	Looney Complete Rear Lowering Kit

Rear Lowering Kit

Our Complete Looney Rear Lowering Kit is a safe and effective way to lower the back of your Road Star. It will allow for safe two-up riding (1.5”-2” recommended), comfort and great performance. Our complete Rear Lowering Kit includes our Extended Control Arms (Dog Bones) and a Progressive 850-1200lb Spring. This kit is specially designed for your Road Star and can be ordered in your choice of lowering heights of 1.5”-2”, 2”-2.5”, or 2.5”-3”.

A Spring Compression tool required for installation are available for a $40 deposit and can be shipped along with your spring order. See below for information.

	The Complete Front Looney Lowering Kit

Front Lowering Kit

Our Looney Front Lowering Kit made by Progressive Suspension is a safe and effective way to lower the front of your Road Star. Cruise Control™ lowering kit will allow for safe two-up riding, comfort and great performance. Our complete Front Lowering Kit includes Two Progressive 18-26lb Springs, spacers and complete instructions. This kit is specially designed for your Road Star and will lower your front from 1.25”-2”.

Note: Installing a Cruise Control fork lowering kit will decrease initial ground clearance. The motorcycle will be lower to the ground and care should be taken to avoid bottoming, especially over bumps or in turns. To maintain proper rake and trail, we recommend lowering the motorcycle in the rear the same amount as the front.


	Looney Extended Control Arms (Dog Bones)

Dog Bones

Our extended Control Arms (Dog Bones) can be set up to lower you from 1.5 to as low as 3.5” inches. Our special process takes stock Control Arms and extends them to the length necessary to lower your bike to the height you want. We give you MORE options! You can “Slam it” or simply lower it a bit to make for a more comfortable ride.

We require an exchange of your stock control arms upon receipt and install of your extended control arms. In addition to the price below a $40.00 core charge will be added to your total and will promptly be refunded upon receipt of your stock control arms(along with bushings and seals).

You will receive your Looney Extended Control Arms greased and ready to install. No additional parts are required!

Spring Compression Tool Loaner Program

For the convenience of our customers, Looney Custom Seats is pleased to make spring compression tools required for installation and removal of Road Star Rear Springs available to our customers without having to buy them.

We require the purchase of our Progressive Rear Spring or Looney Complete Rear Lowering Kit and a fully refundable deposit of $40.00. Upon return of the Spring Compressor Tool, we will promptly return your deposit.

For the convenience of other customers, we ask that you return the tools within 10 days of receiving it.
